Early evening visit and a warm welcome from the long standing guv. Some very good musicians were playing in the corner, thankfully they could play their instruments and were not loud, I actually quite enjoyed it. There was just one other customer in the bar who tried to tell me that Covid vaccinations were killing off his generation. I had an interesting chat with the landlord who told me of his childhood memories of the blitz in the East end of London.

I really like this pub and always try to fit this one in when I am in the area. In spite of the beer being £5 per pint this was the only pub where I stayed for a second one today. Just as well though as the guv very generously bought drinks all round so I had a half on him.

I left our group in the Williams Tavern and made my way here. Mid evening and although busy the noise levels were low added to the ambience of the soft low lighting made a pleasant relaxing atmosphere. 10+ years since I last came here and not changed a bit. Superb boozer.

Mighty Oak - Kings (was 3.9% before 2013)4.20AcceptableWarm and rather tired, lacking condition with little hop or citra-ness in the flavour.

A lovely pub in a pleasant setting on a glorious summer evening. Yet the number of customers was not into double figures here at around 8pm.

Evening visit and both bars were open, some of the younger customers seemed surprised that you can not walk between the bars without leaving the pub. A splendid atmosphere in here tonight so I stopped for an additional pint.

I had been to the White Hart at Whitechapel only to find it closed,so I jumped on a bus to Mile End. I love this pub, but am not so keen on paying £4 for a pint. Cask ales were selling very well tonight.

The pub is found in Bow, Greater London, E3 5RP.

Large canalside pub in all that remains of what was once a built up area. A real find, a pub seemingly stranded from other buildings in a sort of small park, from another era. A former Truman's house now in private ownership that remains completely 2 separate bars with the only way between them for customers being via the street doors and each bar has its own Gents and Ladies. The Public Bar has a rare East London 5s dartboard in regular use. One of 21 inter-war pubs across the country granted a Grade II listing by Historic England in 2015. 2 handpumps sport an ever changing range of small brewers' ales.

We have visited this pub 19 times, seen 30 different beers and tried 23 of them.
