20:00 My journey from Billericay took 3 and a half hours because of signal failures and cancellations, and my problems were further exacerbated by a train hitting a stag at Thetford. My wife told me to sit in the pub whilst she drove to Norwich to collect me. The Angler was busy but the assistant manageress found time to tell me about her recent trip to Mons and Brussels
