16 Aug 2012 (Philip Pirrip)
Late evening. Front bar closed which is a pity as it is the part of the pub with the original pubby feel.

14 Aug 2012 (Stephen Harris)
The football season is back at last, and this was the designated pre-match drink location for my group, before heading down the hill to Charlton (although there was a muddle and most of the crowd went to Rose’s in Woolwich instead). Not crowded here, with most punters either out the front by the heath, or in the walled back garden.
Sambrook's - Wandle | 3.80 | | Fruity malt session bitter. |
Sunny Republic - Beach Blonde | 3.70 | | Pale gold with a big, fruity, lemony hop hit for its strength. Dry-ish, bitter finish. |
Adnams - Broadside | 4.70 | Not Tried
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | Not Tried
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried
Ilkley - Mary Jane | 3.50 | Not Tried | End of barrel. I sent mine back and this beer was taken off sale. |
02 Jun 2009 (Dubbel)
Really hot Tuesday evening and busy here as expected. Delighted to find a BrewDog beer on the bar in exceptional nick. Had a chicken burger and chips special for £5 which was pretty good too. Understandably popular pub.
BrewDog - Trashy Blonde | 4.10 | | Sumptuous fruity flavours and juicy hops. The perfect accompaniment to the warm evening sunshine whilst sprawled out on the heath. A true winning combination. |
