Business as usual in the bar following a fire yesterday morning. A smell of smoke was still quite noticeable.

Evening visit and a fair number of people at the bar, the Bass was selling well tonight. I like the fact that when I first started using this place in the 1970s the choice was Bass or Bass and things have not changed.

Evening visit and the busiest that I have seen this bar for some time. It was a pity that I seemed to be the only person drinking cask ale, especially as it was in very good condition.

Evening visit and very quiet, the barman poured almost two pints down the sink as mine was the first one out this evening.

Evening visit, like just about everywhere else between Hythe and Folkestone it was quiet, I had a chat with the Czech barman who told me about the Czech Republic's brewing heritage but added that he does not like lager beers and prefers ales and stouts.

About 9pm and I was the only customer, but I did notice that nearly all the surrounding restaurants were empty as well.

The pub is found in Folkestone, Kent, CT20 2EB.
The hotel is on the Lees. As you enter the hotel from the front, the bar is on the right, open to visitors and residents alike. Wooden bar with back screen. One famous for its Draught Bass for many years, but no longer. Comfy chairs and large windows overlooking the Lees.
We have visited this pub 32 times, seen 1 beer and tried it.
