First visit since re-opening and impressed with the results. Unexciting beer range which is a pity for such a lovely pub and location. I shan't be rushing back.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Belhaven - IPA3.80AcceptableLuckily only a half - badged as the House Beer which ChrisE deducted to be Belhaven IPA.

Now fully open and absolutely full with diners waiting for tables to become vacant. Plenty of wet sales customers too, I drank the house beer which is advertised as Hooden IPA, I assumed wrongly that it would be Greene King IPA but it most definitely was not that, so I now think it was probably Belhaven IPA which fits in with the advertised 3.8%

This pub has just reopened after a long period of repairs following a serious fire in 2016. Same guv as before but a new name to reflect the new menu that will be available from the official reopening on Wednesday this week. Wet sales only until then, I was pleased to see a photograph of Norah Ballingall who was a licensee in the 60s and 70s and stopped serving me after a couple of years when she found out that I was not eighteen. I was welcomed back on my birthday of course.

Late afternoon busy in the garden due to the nice weather, a more relaxed atmosphere in the cooler bar area.

A number in when we arrived for our lunch. Rather disappointed in the OAP food selection but the service was as good as ever. Still the same three ales.

Formerly The Rose, situated in Willesborough in Silver Hill Road, on the way to William Harvey Hospital, this is a lovely pub on the inside. Lots of original wooden beams, uneven floors and open fireplace. Large, pretty garden too. Food is American and there are 3 handpumps on the bar. Seriously damaged by fire on Sunday 27th November 2016 and reopened mid March 2018.

We have visited this pub 107 times, seen 105 different beers and tried 58 of them.
