A few in at lunchtime. We had a good meal and a friendly reception and service from a staff member who had only started that week. There was no change in the ale selection however.

Found ourselves at lunchtime in need of sustenance and were pleased to have dropped in for a good value and tasty meal. Another place that produces its meaty meat pies on the premises.

Through our lunchtime there was a regular addition to those like us in the restaurant inside, to those eating in the long garden area outside and to those at the bar, which meant that the one person serving had too much to do. We had a good and tasty first course but after waiting over half an hour for the second course we paid and left without it - the first time that this has happened on our many very pleasant visits.

A few in at lunchtime when we had another nice meal with friendly service. Thought that there might have been the odd barrel over from their recent beer festival but they had sold out which was obviously good for them.

Came for lunch with my parents and daughter. There's a large children's play area at the rear so we sat down there in the afternoon sun. Standing at the bar getting our drinks I was reminded of the time, over 20 years ago, when I sat there during a lunchtime session with Ian and Tony and drank the bar (which was 5 pints of bitter, including Goacher's Light, finished off with Biddenden Cider). That was a hell of a day!

Quite busy in the garden area at lunchtime but only a few inside where we ate another great value and tasty meal with the usual friendly service.

Formerly The Rose, situated in Willesborough in Silver Hill Road, on the way to William Harvey Hospital, this is a lovely pub on the inside. Lots of original wooden beams, uneven floors and open fireplace. Large, pretty garden too. Food is American and there are 3 handpumps on the bar. Seriously damaged by fire on Sunday 27th November 2016 and reopened mid March 2018.

We have visited this pub 107 times, seen 105 different beers and tried 58 of them.
