Evening. Usual locals' welcome. Landlady Lynda a tad indisposed after a replacement hip op. An extra handpump has been added in the saloon bar for draught cider.

15:00 On my way back from Skegness I decided to pay this pub a visit based on recommendations on this website. Second one in when I got there at opening time. Really welcoming. CAMRA discount offered without asking and my pint was changed as I sat there about to drink it because the Landlady wasn't happy with it. I mentioned Pubs and Beer and Philip Pirrip's name came up in conversation. This was the pub where the face was put to the name.
