Came to Sandwich for the afternoon and popped in here for lunch. Sat in the small terrace overlooking the river ( the closest we could find to a beer garden in Sandwich...). Food was really good and the beer lineup impressive, will probably make this the first port of call on future trips out this way.

Found opposite the Admiral Owen in High Street. Very pleasant old building and an enthusiastic landlord. By the Barbican and old toll bridge over the River Stour. Low ceilings, wooden beams and brick walls create an old world feel. 6 handpumps.
