05 Aug 2017 (Stephen Harris)
Mid-evening and nowhere near as busy as it would typically be at this time on a weekday.
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Light Machine | 3.00 | | Cloudy pale gold and very fruity indeed. A collaboration beer with Big Smoke Brewery. |
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Morello Cherry Gose | 4.20 | | From keg. Reddish gold in colour. Very fizzy, so first impression is that it is a bit like cherry cola – then the saltiness kicks in. |
First Chop Brewing Arm - AVA | 3.50 | Not Tried
First Chop Brewing Arm - MCR Manchester Bitter | 4.40 | Not Tried
First Chop Brewing Arm - POD | 4.20 | Not Tried
20 Dec 2016 (Stephen Harris)
Busy in the early evening to the point that people were sitting outside in the cold.
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Extra Stout | 4.00 | | Near black in colour, dry and roasty. |
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Gose Fleur de Sel | 4.20 | | On keg dispense. Gose seems to be the beer style of the moment in London. This one is as salty as its name suggests. |
Redemption - Trinity | 3.00 | Not Tried
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Temperance | 3.80 | Not Tried
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Docker's Delight Bitter | 4.20 | Not Tried
12 Sep 2016 (Stephen Harris)
Early evening. My first visit here since brewing has settled down in Tottenham with a much bigger production level.
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Hospital Porter | 5.20 | | A thick, rich, black, chocolaty Porter. |
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Tinker's Cuss | 5.20 | | This was getting a bit near the end of the barrel (in fact it soon ran out) and was overly fruity and a bit unbalanced. |
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Temperance | 3.80 | Not Tried
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Snakecharmer IPA | 5.70 | Not Tried | Ran out before I got a go at it. |
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Docker's Delight Bitter | 4.20 | Not Tried
03 May 2016 (Stephen Harris)
Early evening visit. One Mile End Brewery have now relocated to Tottenham, taking up the space recently vacated by Redemption Brewery, although they will continue to use the little brewery in the cellar here for small-scale projects.
First Chop Brewing Arm - SYL | 6.20 | | A Black IPA. Strong. More like a Stout with a heavy hop-load in fact. Very nice indeed. |
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Hospital Porter | 5.20 | | A roasted, bitter, black Porter. |
First Chop Brewing Arm - SEN | 3.90 | | A routine, amber-coloured Bitter. |

21 Dec 2015 (Stephen Harris)
First time I’ve been in here since the mysterious case of the absent breakfast. Busy tonight.
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Great Tom Mild (or Great Tom Winter Mild) | 3.80 | | A tasty, dark brown Mild. A bit roasty and very well-hopped for the style. |
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Rudolph Rocker | 5.70 | | Dark brown and with plenty of Xmas spice. |
First Chop Brewing Arm - HOP | 4.10 | Not Tried

03 Oct 2015 (Stephen Harris)
A group of 20 meet here for 11am opening (see previous post) only to be told that actual opening time is 11:30. Most shove off to the Pride of Spitalfields, whilst I await stragglers. In fact the pub opens at 11:20 and eventually the full party is assembled here. To add to our frustrations, there is no home-brew available to sample on cask – the reason I was bringing the group here in the first place.
Ilkley - Fireside Porter | 4.20 | | Black and smoky. |
40FT - Larger | 4.80 | | On keg dispense. My first taste from Braumaster Ben’s latest project. Unfiltered, Kölsch-style beer but with good US hop presence. Very nice. Lager drinkers in the group were raving about it. |
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | Not Tried
Dark Star - Espresso Stout | 4.20 | Not Tried
Bristol Beer Factory - Seven | 4.20 | Not Tried
30 Sep 2015 (Stephen Harris)
I popped in here in the early evening to warn the kitchen that I was bringing a group of 25 in for the ‘Brewers Breakfast’ at 10:30 on Saturday morning, as advertised on their website. Surprised to be told that the pub does not open until 11am, the kitchen not before noon and that nobody had ever heard of a ‘Brewers Breakfast’ – the info and menu on their website is apparently ‘wrong’.
First Chop Brewing Arm - AVA | 3.50 | | Golden in colour. Sharp, fruity and bitter. Very well-hopped. |
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | Not Tried
Bristol Beer Factory - Seven | 4.20 | Not Tried
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Hospital Porter | 5.20 | Not Tried
10 Sep 2015 (Stephen Harris)
After work visit. Busy and I stood at the bar.
Five Points - Railway Porter | 4.80 | | One of my favourite Porters. Rich and chocolaty. |
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Citra Crush Saison | 6.00 | | On some form of keg dispense – chilled and quite well-carbonated. Every bit as good as its name suggested it would be. |
Redemption - Hopspur | 4.50 | Not Tried
Five Points - Hook Island Red | 6.00 | Not Tried
Five Points - Five Points Pale | 4.40 | Not Tried
