Evening. Just as the quiz answers were being divulged - quite sophisticated with music playback of some answers. Very impressive beer swilling house.

The fortunes of this pub have certainly improved since I was last in. A bustling early evening trade; mostly commuters arriving off the London trains. I’m actually going the other way.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Firebird - Heritage XX4.00GoodAn amber-coloured, malty, best bitter.
Firebird - Paleface A.P.A.5.20AcceptableWorthy US Pale Ale-style beer that doesn’t quite hit the spot for me. Slight chemical undertones in this pint.

Fairly busy and increasing in numbers as the deafening music drove people away from the beer festival at the Spa Valley Railway.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Isfield - Toad in the Ale4.80AcceptableThis is the correct name for this beer. A porter style beer, dark brown but unfortunately brewed with crystal malt giving a sweetish but tart and cloying character to the beer. Finish is dry. My score 14/20.
