Best garden in Canterbury for making you feel you're in the country. Ah the country, where you can amble through leafy lanes and stroll into village inns where they serve you a pint of beer, and if you're feeling rakeish, a packet of crisps. Just like here. What's not to love.
Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | | Good condition. Good temperature. Quite malty rough. |
Shepherd Neame - Spitfire (or Spitfire Amber Ale) | 4.20 | Not Tried | |

Came for a meal with the family. Sat out in the beer garden and a lovely time it was too! Lovely food, lovely beer garden and brids singing in the background. This place is an oasis of calm.
Shepherd Neame - Bishops Finger | 5.00 | | A little flat, not in great condition which was a shame. Still perfectly drinkable though. |

Here with a friend from work. It was busy inside with groups of students and the odd family eating. Staff were friendly.

This pub has changed completely since the new owners took over. Before it had a morgue-like atomosphere with OK beer, now it has life (and Sky Sports), is far more welcoming and has a diverse clientele, the beer's still Sheps but the quality is fine.
Shepherd Neame - Late Red | 4.50 | | I had this a couple of weeks ago in the Bishops Finger and it was OK, but this was not the same pint at all. I was going to ask if Lee was sure it was Late Red. It was just chocolate, malty choc, no berries, no fruit at all, but still very good. |

The atmosphere in this pub is certainly more vibrant than it was before the new landlord took over. There were quite a few (mainly young) people in at around 4 in the afternoon. Really good relaxed atmosphere.

Shepherd Neame - Early Bird | 4.30 | Not Tried | Good to see it on, but I'd already started on the cider and so stuck to the Scrumpy Jack. |

Popped in for a quick half with Adrian. Sat in the garden and enjoyed the sun.

Came with Adrian for a quick half and sat in the garden (which is one of the best in Canterbury in my opinion). Fairly busy outside with lots of people having Friday lunch.
Shepherd Neame - Early Bird | 4.30 | | Nice and refreshing with some hoppyness and good fresh malt. |

Had a few minutes to spare before the bus left and this pub was on route from the train station. There was an interesting program on the TV that seemed to involve a woman driving around pointlessly in a jeep wearing only hot pants and a bra.
Shepherd Neame - Kent's Best | 4.10 | | Yeasty with a fresh bit to it. Sharp and clean best bitter. £2.80 a pint though! |

Came here after having gone to the Dover Beer Festival. Fairly busy as I remember although I don't remember a lot.
