A lunch time visit taking advantage of the increased frequency on the local bus route. The pub was doing a good trade and we enjoyed some excellent food along with our ales.

I came with my dad to see what it was like. Driving up it looked quiet but pulling into the rear car park it was clear it was heaving. Lots of people were outside under big patio umbrellas and heaters - which is where we ended up. Nice, well presented, and clearly popular pub.

This pub was known as the Golden Ball but closed sometime ago. It has been restored by the orignal owner of the Hooden Horse Inns.On my first vist on Sunday the pub was packed with customers enjoying the beer and the food.Excellent outside seating areas and the interior is tastefully refurbished.

Came after work to see how good the pub was. Opened for a week and the beer was good and I enjoyed sat outside in the patio area. Will be coming back on a regular basis if it remains this good.

Previously The Golden Ball on the A28 at Kennington at Mill Lane. Revamped and extended with old pub charm on the interior and attractive patio area at rear. Four handpumps serving local beers. Reported in November 2016 as sold by Village Green Restaurants to Shepherd Neame which takes the ownership back full circle to the pub's Golden Ball days!
