Just two locals in discussing childrens tv programs.
Wapping - Stout | 5.00 | | fantastic stuff, dark with hints of coffee and chocolate balanced by a almost sourness, splendid finish, my favourite Wapping beer, not that I've tried them all - yet |

I like this pub and it's quirky interior, and all the beers, brewed in the cellar are very good. Lots of bottled Belgian stuff too.
Wapping - Stout | 5.00 | | Enough said on my last visit, still superb. |
Wapping - Bitter | 3.60 | | Nice bitter, full and hoppy, tastes much fuller than 3.6% |
Wapping - Liverpool APA | 5.50 | | Very hoppy with a good citrus hop bite, very nice |

I love this pub, always a good selection of their beers and a unique interior.
Wapping - Stout | 5.00 | | Really nice, rich and well balanced, slightly sweet but with a hint of sour. Just a bit better than my own stout. |

Wapping - Baltic Gold | 3.90 | Not Tried

Lunchtime, popped in to see what was on. Liverpool were playing at home so there were some fans in prior to the game. A few tourists as well as this is within spitting distance of the Albert Dock.
Wapping - Smoked Porter | 5.00 | | More porter than smoke. But good chewy malts and subtle smoke aroma and flavour. Quite a lot of choc on aroma |
Wapping - Bitter | 3.60 | Not Tried
Wapping - Summer Ale | 4.20 | Not Tried
Wapping - Blonde Wheat Beer | 4.00 | Not Tried
Townhouse - Bramling Cross | 4.50 | Not Tried

Quite busy for a late Tuesday night. I like this pub although it is quite unlike any other I have been in.

Strange little triangular shaped pub with a spartan interior, excellent beers and a large selection of bottled Belgian beers
Wapping - Tabley Mild | 3.60 | | Very nice, rich with chocolate and toasted malt. A rich full bodied beer. |
Wapping - Summer Ale | 4.20 | Not Tried

This is where the evening started going a bit bleary. I thought I'd come in for one or two, but ended up staying until closing time, chatting to one of the managers and the guy behind the bar, as well as for the handfull of regulars sat around the bar. Ended up drinking bottles of strong Belgian beers.
Wapping - Winter | 6.50 | | Brewed in Oct/Nov 2006. Black with disappearing tan head. Liquorice old ale style, fruity, mince pies. Somewhere between an old ale and an imperial stout. But no real roastedness. This has amazing fruit, plums, damsons. Spice. A bit like a Xmas pudding, but with figs and spice. |
Wapping - Summer Ale | 4.20 | | Good condition, nice grassy citrus flavours. Some yeast on aroma. Nice beer and a typical Wapping beer. Bit more grassy than some. |
Wapping - Blonde Wheat Beer | 4.00 | | Good example of an English wheat beer. Lemony cereal aroma, fullish in mouth. Herby lemony finish. |
21 Mar 2007 (Ian)
Great iron shaped building down by the Albert Dock. I was sat in the main bar enjoying the banter at the bar. I also bought a couple of bottle conditioned Wapping beers too. Good selection of continental beers on tap and in bottle as well as Wapping beers on cask and a couple of guests including Saxon Perry.
Wapping - Three Sheets to the Wind | 4.00 | | Gold colour with lasting off white head. Citric grapefruit aroma, like an APA. Bit of yeast, solid smooth malt in mouth before this amazing gorgeous APA style hop kicks in. Grapefruit is amazing. Bit of sherbert. If this is their answer to an APA, then it’s just awesome. I had to have the other half before I left. |
Wapping - Mark's Bloody Mild | 3.60 | | Attractive very deep ruby colour with lasting tan head. Amazing mild, full of chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Grainy, but not powdery in the mouth. Decent dry roasted slightly bitter finish too. But the choc/coffee intensity is stunning. My best mild of the year already for 2007? Could be. |
Wapping - Baltic Gold | 3.90 | | Gold colour with disappearing off white head. Trademark yeast and citric hop aroma. Nicely citrusy beer, very easy drinking. Not as full on as the Three Sheets to the Wind I had before, but still very hoppy but more restrained. |
Wapping - Summer Ale | 4.20 | Not Tried
