Tír Dhá Ghlas - Pigs Ear (a.k.a. Pigs Ear Summer Ale)3.70GoodPleasant enough, a bit bland. Pump clip just said Pig's Ear - so not sure if this was a different recipe to the Summer Ale.

12:30 visit. An impressive bistro/bar, fairly busy too. I came to sunny Dover to see HMS Kent, which drew a big crowd. Then went along marine parade to watch the unveiling ceremony for the memorial to the Channel Dash, an heroic event from WWII. These was a large turnout for this too, including many current and ex servicemen. And the finale was a Spitfire flypast, which was a sight and sound to behold. And then, I did a mini pub crawl!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Adnams - Southwold Bitter3.70GoodVery refreshing. Discovered this place by chance, having read about it here, and glad I did. Spotted the brew kit in the building next door. Another Kent micro that started up in June 2011. This part of Dover was all new to me with the whole area all smartened up.

Early evening visit. Clearly a seated venue but I did stand at the bar. Lots of dead glasses around the front of the handpumps throughout visit.

A very wet Monday lunchtime. We had a light lunch and a couple of pints each, and owing to the weather conditions, ordered a taxi for the next part of our journey.
