Late afternoon just the three of us until folk arrived for dining with the barmaid taking many orders while serving. Was informed the brewery has lain idle for a while with its future uncertain.
Adnams - Ghost Ship | 4.50 | | Full clarity yet a sour hint so possibly towards the last of the cask. |
Adnams - Broadside | 4.70 | Not Tried

Evening meal for my daughter’s birthday. Good ambience, just nicely busy. There is a new mechanical oddity in the terrace area that greatly amused the granddaughters (and me to be honest).
Adnams - Broadside | 4.70
Tír Dhá Ghlas - Pig's Ear | 3.80 | | Good condition but I’m not keen on the flavour- had a taster and decided to go for it. |

Early lunchtime- a few eaters in - we wandered a bit outside and I tried to describe the fish-on-a-bicycle action sculpture that is sadly no longer along the dockside.

Tír Dhá Ghlas - Pig's Ear | 3.80 | | First one out - a bit flat. |

I had an appointment in Dover that finished at about 11:30am and I fancied a pint. This was one of the few pubs that I could think of that has the decency to open before 12:00 so I came here. Already a few diners occupying tables before catching ferries but I had the bar area to myself. It was good to see two of the pub's own beers available. I understand that Jimmy may not be renewing the lease on these premises when it expires.
Tír Dhá Ghlas - Pig's Ear | 3.20 | | Very tasty for such a low gravity beer, and only £2.80 per pint as well. |
Adnams - Broadside | 4.70 | Not Tried
Tír Dhá Ghlas - Jimmy's Riddle | 4.00 | Not Tried

Busy with diners who were mostly sitting in the conservatory or outside. We had the small bar area to ourselves.

Very busy and obviously going to get much busier as there were lots of tables reserved in the eating area. I had a quick chat with the owner about the beers that are currently being brewed here.
Tír Dhá Ghlas - Toomeys Folly | 3.70 | | Very good porter. I think the abv was quoted as 4.9%on the pump clip. |

Tír Dhá Ghlas - Pigs Ear (a.k.a. Pigs Ear Summer Ale) | 3.70 | Not Tried | I think the pump clip advertised this as 3.2% |
