I visited at lunchtime, and found the place reasonably busy, and was welcomed by a friendly landlord. The Hopdeamon Golden Braid was very enjoyable. This pub now serves as the village Post Office.

The barman/landlord was a cheery fellow well suited to the job. The clientele were eclectic, interesting and also cheery. The real fire was blazing giving the pub a cosy feel. I liked it.
