Lunchtime on a blustery Sunday. The cosy looking front bar was full, as was the dining room at the back, where we enjoyed Sunday lunch.A proper pub in an interesting village, where I once bought a letterbox.
| Hopdaemon - Golden Braid | 3.70 | | A revelation-I hadn't tried this before,an epitome of East Kent .Great hops, followed by a floral , aromatic taste very reminiscent of Fremlins back in the 70's. In my personal rating scheme, I gave it 4.5 stars. |
| Hopdaemon - Skrimshander IPA | 4.50 | | That wonderful Skrimshander depth of flavour, perhaps not the best I've had,but still high in my estimation. |
| Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | Not Tried | |

Two people in when we arrived, friendly cosy pub.
| Hopdaemon - Skrimshander IPA | 4.50 | | Wow! a perfect pint of this super beer, superb hops and a long hoppy finish. |
| Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | | A good pint of Harveys, rich and yeasty with that Harveys aroma. |

Early evening, very much a local trade at this time of day with most of the customers on first name terms with the bar staff. I sat in a corner and relaxed with a nice view of the village square and church.
| Hopdaemon - Skrimshander IPA | 4.50 | | My favourite of the Hopdaemon beers. This was in fine fettle, and a most enjoyable pint. |

Very pleasant on this sunny evening, looking out into the square.
| Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | | Unmistakable Harveys, yeasty and pungent. |
| Hopdaemon - Golden Braid | 3.70 | | Pale and mellow, OK |
| Hopdaemon - Skrimshander IPA | 4.50 | | Nice, fruity and fresh. |

I visited at lunchtime, and found the place reasonably busy, and was welcomed by a friendly landlord. The Hopdeamon Golden Braid was very enjoyable. This pub now serves as the village Post Office.

The barman/landlord was a cheery fellow well suited to the job. The clientele were eclectic, interesting and also cheery. The real fire was blazing giving the pub a cosy feel. I liked it.
| Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | | Good Harvey's sweet malt and hops with that tell-tale Harvey's yeastiness |
