Lunchtime, I tried the fish and chips and was very impressed with the quality of the food on offer, beers were very good too, and most of them still under the £3 barrier.

I had heard that this pub had re-opened after a period of closure, this was a mid-day visit and it was fairly quiet. I was impressed to see that the price list was clearly visible from the bar, and that both pint and half pint prices were shown even though they are generally half the price of a pint with occasional rounding up to a multiple of 5p. I had a good chat with the staff about this pub and their next venture which will be at Great Chart.
