BeerABVScoreNotes
RCH - Pitchfork4.30GoodGolden ale with a sweetish malty characater. Some graininess and a subtle hop character. My score 15/20.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Phoenix - Pale Imitation4.30ExcellentPale beer, the overriding flavour is that of sweetness, from both malt and hop. The hoppiness is soft and fruity, the malt lingers in the finish. My score 16/20.
01 Apr 2011 (Ian)
Always interesting to watch the law students pretending to study in a pub.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Arundel - Prize Fighter4.60GoodVery biscuit full malty bitter. Some sour fruit on aroma leads to a rich full biscuit mouthfrel and then more sour hedgerow fruit on tangy finish. A well constructed best bitter. Decent beer

BeerABVScoreNotes
Wadworth - 125 Stout4.00GoodDark ruby stout with some bitter roast malt flavour but lacking body with a rather thin and watery finish. My score 15/20.
Hydes - Plum Treat4.00GoodAmber fruit beer with a strong, sweet taste of plums. The base beer is malty with little hop presence throughout. My score 15/20.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Butcombe - Old Vic Bristol Porter4.70ExcellentDifferent from a previous "Old Vic" this is a classic porter, dark ruby/black with toffee malt and hop bitterness combining to give a smooth and full flavoured beer. My score 16/20.
27 Nov 2010 (Martin the Mildman)
Very quiet on a cold Saturday morning.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Rooster's - Bangtail3.70AcceptableQuite a bitter amber beer with a dry, hoppy finish. My score 14/20.
23 Oct 2010 (Martin the Mildman)
Quiet on a Saturday morning, so a quick breakfast and a swift half of my first Autumn 2010 festival beer was had.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Maxim - Phoenix Rising4.50GoodSmooth and sweet with little hop character typical of a north east beer. My score 15/20.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Greene King - Ballot Box Beer4.50ExcellentAppropriate for election night, this is one of G.K's better efforts, golden in colour with lots of biscuity malt balanced by good hoppiness with a lingering grainy malty finish. My score 16/20.
08 Sep 2009 (Ian)
Normally has a decent selection of guest ales available and this was no exception. Simple 'Spoons about halfway down Holborn
BeerABVScoreNotes
Naylor's - Roaring Ruby4.70ExcellentVery dark brown, lasting thin tan head. A bit like a fruity porter. This is pretty good. Excellent berry and slightly sour fruits with a bit of chewy chocolate. Excellent, lovely ruby beer.
Brewster's - Decadence4.40GoodGold, thin off white head. Some decent citrus hop, very light, delicate blond ale with enough hop to make you want to drink again. Pretty good.
Marston's - Pedigree4.50Not Tried
