Greene King - Bonkers Conkers | 4.10 | Jenny informed me that she had this down in the cellar waiting to go on, and offered to pour me a pint from the cask. I think Greene King beers are better served by gravity, and it certainly seemed to be the case with this pint. Fruity and biscuity.

Greene King - Hardys & Hansons Olde Trip | 4.30 | Hardy Hanson Olde Trip. Big malt bite with base-bitter background. Lots of harsh malt (marmite) on the finish. Not really my kind of beer

A flint stone pub with a garden to the side. The front room by the bar is small with bench seating and the front side room is square with some tables and chairs. The back room is slightly lower than the front 2 and is reached by practically going though the bar. Closed with retirement of licensee in early 2019 and late in 2019 up for sale described as in need of much refurbishment. Since closure has become Grade II listed. Reported in early 2022 that the building has been bought by artist Tracey Emin in December 2021.
