A group of conservation-minded farmers descended on this pub after looking for butterflies at Crundale. I don't think that I've been in this pub for at least thirty years. I'm not sure if it sold Fremlins on gravity then.

A few in for our lunchtime visit with friends. The meal was very good although with only two dessert options today on the OAP menu. Atmosphere was as pleasant as ever.

Tetley - Bitter3.70AcceptableTried this on Landlord's suggestion. Condition was good but not to my taste as it seemed rather bland.

Not been a good few days for the restaurant as many people had cancelled bookings due to the inclement weather. We were the only four people in today at lunchtime and very much enjoyed the available fare.

We were the only ones in during our lunchtime visit where we enjoyed our usual high quality OAP meal although the price had now increased by £2.

Outside the painting was virtually complete with a new pub sign about to go up, whilst inside the place was decorated in preparation for the festive season. Very few in today as we had a Christmas dinner option since the friends we were with were to go away soon. The meal was very good as usual.

The outside was being painted when we arrived for our lunchtime meal. It was fairly busy in the restaurant to the extent that the landlord didn't have the time to regale us with the fortunes of his favourite football team from Geordieland! Anyway the meal was as appetising and enjoyable as ever.

We arrived earlier than usual for our lunchtime meal and were the only ones there whilst we ate. The meal was excellent. As we were celebrating a birthday we had a bottle of wine between the four of us and so didn't sample the ales.

The pub is found in Brook, Kent, TN25 5PG.

Allegedly built in 1609 this is an ancient house located in The Street. In 1804, the house was given the title the "Honest Miller", the significance of which dates back to the Saxons when a miller cheated the Romans by giving them a short measure. His ears were cut off as a penance and warning to others. After this millers not wishing to fall into the same category as their luckless and earless colleague hung a sign stating they were "Honest Millers". The pub has had many owners over the years. Re-opened in July 2024 after a period of 4 years or so of closure and changing ownership. Early signs are that it might not be selling cask ales.

We have visited this pub 86 times, seen 36 different beers and tried 28 of them.
