Came in to watch the rugby as we couldn't all agree on anywhere else. Pretty busy with a lot of people thinking the same thing as us.

Marston's - Pale Ale2.80AcceptableNot pale and not at all hoppy. Nevertheless it's not a bad beer, caramel and bready flavour to it.

Not sure what we were thinking coming in here on a Thursday night, we can definitely put it in the mistake pile though. Packed with people I try my best to stay away from all dancing along to their favourite hip-hop tunes. Not my cup of tea.

I seldom come here as generally it requires you to be wearing a stab vest. However, I forget that up to about 8 at night it's actually a fairly pleasant place. It was a friends birthday and he wanted to start here, it is cheap I'll give it that.

Eagle (formerly Wells & Young's, formerly Charles Wells, formerly Wells) - Wells Bombardier (now superseded by 4.1% version)4.30GoodI hate to admit it but this was actually fairly good. Malty bitter, easy drinking.

Soulless place, but it's nice to grab a pint and sit out front on the street.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Theakston - Best Bitter3.80AcceptablePretty standard, far too cold but you could just about make out a little malt and some creaminess.
