Jennings (since closure now brewed at Marston's) - Honey Bole | 4.50 | Golden with a thick ivory head from the sparkler. Some yeast and hop on aroma. Some decent pale malt. Good bite on end. Faint honey sweetness. Bitter on tongue on finish rather than hoppy bitter. Really refreshing and a pint slipped down in less than 5 mins.

Marston's - Merrie Monk | 4.50 | Served with a sparkler. Clear chestnut colour with a thin lassting beige head. Some Marston house yeast on aorma. Bit of toffee too. Advertised as a mild. It's alright, some character, bit of dryness on finish. It's just a bit better than average.
