I still sometimes get the impression that there are more staff than customers. July seasonal not on yet, but Wychwood Hobgoblin was coming on soon

Banks's - Banks's (aka Original)3.50AcceptableServed through a tight sparkler so I only got about 3/4 of a pint. Burnt toast malts. Faint hop. Drinkable and interesting and glad to have it again.

Wow, pretty busy, with the tables outside full and a fair number inside too, busy with Sunday lunches. May ask for sparkler to be taken off next time.

Jennings (since closure now brewed at Marston's) - Honey Bole4.50GoodGolden with a thick ivory head from the sparkler. Some yeast and hop on aroma. Some decent pale malt. Good bite on end. Faint honey sweetness. Bitter on tongue on finish rather than hoppy bitter. Really refreshing and a pint slipped down in less than 5 mins.

Early Sunday lunchtime and a decent smattering of customers in. Still smells very new. Looks as though Pedigree and Banks Original will be their 2 stock beers with a third being the monthly changing one. It's alright and I will probably be back due to the fact that its kind of on my way to my mothers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marston's - Merrie Monk4.50AcceptableServed with a sparkler. Clear chestnut colour with a thin lassting beige head. Some Marston house yeast on aorma. Bit of toffee too. Advertised as a mild. It's alright, some character, bit of dryness on finish. It's just a bit better than average.
