Comfortable, but not really busy for a Friday evening.

The pub was very busy, this place is obviously becoming very popular. There were only two cask ales on, and we had the last of the Banks's Mild. We were informed that two beers brewed for the World Cup would be ready, and on sale the next day.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Banks's - Banks's (aka Original)3.50ExcellentThe very end of the cask, but in superb condition. We would have had more if there had been any available.
Marston's - Pedigree4.50Good

A welcome break from unpacking was needed after moving into my new house yesterday so decided to make the 5 minute trot across the road and join ChrisE in my new local.

A good friend of mine had just moved in to a house very close to this pub, and he invited me join him here for some refreshment. This pub appears to be doing very well, and the beers were in good condition, a pity about the tight sparklers though.

I came here for lunch. Reasonably busy, but food service was slow, so I had a second pint while I was waiting for the food to arrive.

Surprisingly busy for a Wednesday evening. Mostly families and groups of people enjoying a drink and a bite to eat. There were leaflets promoting cask ale week at the bar.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Banks's - Banks's (aka Original)3.50ExcellentA good session beer, which seems to be going back to its proper name of Mild in current publicity from the brewery. A refreshing pint that I would have preferred without a very tight sparkler.
Wychwood (now brewed at Banks's) - Paddy's Tout4.30ExcellentDark beer with coffee caramel taste.
Marston's - Pedigree4.50Good

Came for lunch with my mother and sister. Pretty decent burger and my mother's gammon steak was excellent.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wychwood (now brewed at Banks's) - Dirty Tackle4.00GoodI think is good. Doesn't taste like a Wychwood beer, but good malts and clean finish.

Fairly quiet when I arrived with my wife and an ex-colleague and his wife at 12:30 for our meal which was very good in quality and price. It was very busy when we left 90 minutes later.
