Sadly tonight's Caribbean food event was cancelled due to the unavailability of the chef to which the 'guv was most apologetic. Busy with locals on an early Thursday evening we sat in the cinema seats on the mezzanine level and enjoyed our beers.

Lunchtime - one off my wish list. Very interesting decor - I particularly liked the stained glass windows that were vibrant in the sunshine. Guvnor from the Hovelling Boat in here drinking. The bar person confirmed the story that this once had a brothel upstairs. Good beer selection, a right proper pub.

Got here for opening and there were already people sitting outside waiting for the doors to open. We sat up the top in, what looked like, airplane seats.

A small corner pub on a hill, West Cliff Road, not far from the town centre. It has a rather rambling interior with the main seating area raised above the bar floor and a basement seating area too. Glorious stained glass street windows. 6 handpumps on the bar counter enhanced to make 9 in 2022.
