Visits Details
02 Nov 2015 (Stephen Harris)
A quiet Monday evening vibe. I can name half the people here and recognise half of the rest, despite only being an occasional visitor myself. I should be on the Lemsip rather than the beer to be honest, given my current sniffles.

| Brodie's (latterly contract brewed by Rhymney) - Hackney Red IPA | 6.10 | | First class Red IPA in perfect condition. The £3:20 price tag for such a good, strong beer made it very attractive. |

Mid-evening visit. Quite busy in here.
| Brodie's (latterly contract brewed by Rhymney) - Jamaica Stout (was 5%) | 5.40 | | In the early days of the brewery, when I used to come here a lot, this was my favourite Brodie’s beer. Pleased to see it is being brewed again (now at 5.4%), and that it is still fabulous. |

Lunchtime and the pub is busy. A mix of people in to watch televised football and people lubricating themselves ahead of watching the real live football at Brisbane Road in the afternoon.

Evening visit until late, following a good restaurant meal. All the usual folk seem to be present, sitting in their usual seats.
| Brodie's (latterly contract brewed by Rhymney) - London Fields Pale Ale | 4.00 | | A crisp and sharp Pale Ale. Lots of citrus flavours from the hops. |
| Wobbly - Columbus & Summit | 4.50 | | As its name suggests, this is a well-hopped beer. Slightly hazy, pale gold in colour. Bitter. |

Afternoon and a refuge from the wet weather. Largest TV screen I have seen in a pub. All very friendly here.
| Brodie's (latterly contract brewed by Rhymney) - Ginger Beer | 4.80 | | In good clear nick but really a citrus beer with a dash of ginger infusion |
| Brodie's (latterly contract brewed by Rhymney) - 3Monos APA | 4.60 | | Blimey almost colourless and not sure what the flavours were meant to impart |

26 Dec 2014 (ChrisE)
Boxing day afternoon, and a good crowd watching football on television. The weather at wherever the match was being played looked appalling and those watching it in the pub with a pint and a plate of chips definitely had the best idea.

18 Dec 2014 (Philip Pirrip)
Afternoon. Pleasantly populated with drinkers. Rather more handpumps without pumpclips than on previous visits but unused ones had colourful bows tied to their finials.
| Brodie's (latterly contract brewed by Rhymney) - London Fields Pale Ale | 4.00 | | Beautifully clear and full flavoured. Could not fault condition but just a disappointment to me that a Pale Ale turns out to be just yet another citrus beer, a style for which great tiresomeness has set in |
| Brodie's (latterly contract brewed by Rhymney) - Bethnal Green Bitter | 4.00 | | A tad cloudy. OK. |
| Caledonian - Bitter Winter | 4.80 | Not Tried | |
| Brains - I Sea Santa | 4.90 | Not Tried | |

| Robinsons - South Island | 4.20 | | Very pale and with a soft mouthfeel. Decent NZ hop presence. |
