I was walking past after lying to my doctor about my weekly alcohol units and decided to try a pint, there seemed to be fruit machines and television screens everywhere but at least the beer was unexpectedly good.

I popped in here to see how things are going under new management. This pub now has up to four ales on handpump.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Copper Dragon - Silver Myst4.00GoodA new beer from Copper Dragon, their first attempt at brewing a cask Pilsener style ale. An interesting brew, I may have to pop back for another one.

Apparently they have been serving real ale again for about 6 months, after only doing keg. They had Young's Bitter, but it did not prove too popular, but the Bombadier takes up 2 pumps and the Courage Best has been popular as well. Spoke to a bloke at the bar who works in Argos. Go figure.

I came here to watch Manchester United vs Blackburn as it was on Sky Prem Plus, otherwise I wouldn't have visited. Far too smokey for me and no cask beer. Flowers IPA on keg, so I drank Guiness. Fortunately United won 1-0
