Hastings - Hastings Porter4.50GoodVery strong roast malt flavour to this, perhaps a little overpowering. Some hop trying to win through. Dry, roast malt finish. My score 15/20.

Scottich and Northern England beer festival in progress, although many ales had gone by Saturday after a busy Friday night. Good value food served.

Cairngorm - Tomlinsons Liquorice Stout4.50AcceptableBrewed to 6.0% for this rare outing of a cult beer originally brewed in Yorkshire. Rather strange liquorice flavour superimposed on a rather sour tasting stout base. Not to everyone's taste. My score 12/20.
