The pub is found in Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 1AW.

Located in Stodman Street just off the Market Square part of the town. Formerly called the Woolpack this historic building dates back to around 1452 and has been lovingly restored with the help of Haymills Conservation Specialists to become one of the town's most characterful pubs. The building was around during the civil war and forms part of the tourist civil war trail. The venue prides itself on good home cooked foods and often provides live music which is regularly of a folk music nature. One bar serving area but multi-rooms on several levels. Upstairs is the fine beamed ceilinged "attic" seating area. The bar is equipped with 6 handpumps. In addition a small stack of boxed polypins of ciders and perries sometimes sits on the end of the bar. Sold to RedCat pub group by Knead in 2021.

We have visited this pub 24 times, seen 84 different beers and tried 28 of them.
