Evening late. The balcony seating area has now opened although it was closed up this late at night - a sneak visit provided a great view of the gathered throng below.

What a nice pub. Lunchtime visit when it was surprisingly quiet, despite the shopping frenzy going on all around outside.

Evening. 2nd day of opening and a civilised haven from the frenetic Halloween crowds in the square outside. Very friendly and knowledgeable bar staff, one of whom is a Hop Stuff brewer. Bare warehouse style concrete floor is to be covered with wood laminate over the next few weeks.

The pub is found in Woolwich, Greater London, SE18 6AB.
In a prominent location on General Gordon Square in Equitable House this Antic conversion of the former Woolwich Equitable Building Society office opened on Thursday 30th October 2014 in the building which had itself been completed in 1935. Original marble in place in the mezzanine floor area and the bar counter has 6 handpumps and a very attractive traditional bar back behind it. Private function room. Eclectic furniture as is the Antic trademark. Open to view kitchen commissioned in the late November 2014 and a balcony seating area was commissioned in the December of 2014. Re-opening, after a lengthy Covid-19 enforced closure period, on Thursday 20th May 2021. Closed at short notice on 7th April 2023, quoting Covid-19 rent arrears as being disputed.
