Very busy and likely to get busier with some entertainment later on this evening.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Made North3.80GoodMedium hoppiness, medium maltiness, medium body. Nothing to write home about (in my opinion). Well presented and excellent condition.
Tollgate - California Steam4.20GoodOne of Tollgate's core beers and described as a West Coast Crafted Lager. Well if that's a craft lager it was OK. Straw yellow in colour and a bit zingy (whatever that means), but it certainly had some endearing qualities. Usual good presentation and condition.

Good company, good ales and great atmosphere. Excellent way to spend a couple of hours.
BeerABVScoreNotes
G2 - Orion3.80ExcellentAn English style bitter, good hops and malt in perfect balance. Session beer, easily drinkable.
Black Brook - Soup4.70ExcellentUnfined, cloudy and superb. A bitter bordering on astringent. Good presentation and condition. Wow!
Stonehouse - Tekau 104.30ExcellentA beer brewed to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Stonehouse brewery. Delicately flavoured with Southern Cross hops, there is also a good malt flavour. Good balance resulting in a good quaffing ale.
Oakham - Dr. Phobia5.20GoodA chestnut red beer. Overcomplicated for my taste and consequently neither one thing or another. Good condition and presentation.

The pub is found in Oswestry, Shropshire, SY11 1PZ.

A once run down Marston's town pub in a road of the same name, which has received a new lease of life. A large single ground floor room, serving five real ales from local sources and nationally (Oakademy approved) and also a splendid range of craft keg / KeyKeg and keg beers and a noted selection of gins. Popular with locals and visitors to the area. Previously called Castle Tavern and then Eagles. Next pub of the year (2017)?

We have visited this pub 22 times, seen 57 different beers and tried them all.
