Noisy more riotous than expected for a suburban pub on a Friday evening, mostly folk drinking I didn't notice any diners. We found a table by the window and enjoyed a couple of pre curry beers. Despite this the bar staff were on the ball and we were served promptly each time. Impressive beer range here tonight which I wasn't expecting.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marston's - Pedigree4.50ExcellentExcellent condition with all the toffee bitterness prevalent.

01 Sep 2018 (Magnus Greel)
Early evening busy with mostly younger folk, the two bar staff struggled to cope hence extended waiting time at the bar. I was impressed with the beer range on offer.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marston's - Pedigree4.50ExcellentSpoilt for choice I opted for this, luckily it was in excellent condition.
Banks's - Amber (was Amber Bitter)3.80Not Tried

I fancied a poor choice of national bland beers and I wasn't disappointed, George has been his usual Generous self with the beer range on this busy mid Saturday evening visit.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marston's - Pedigree4.50GoodAcidic twang detracted from the usual flavours.
Marston's - Wychwood Hobgoblin IPA (was Ruby Beer, was Hobgoblin)4.50GoodRich plummy chewy and syrupy ale

16 Aug 2017 (Magnus Greel)
Mid evening and fairly busy by the bar, we had our pick of tables so opted for one by a welcome open window on a warm sunny evening. Since last year's refurb Marston's seem to have given up on offering customers a wider choice of beers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marston's - Pedigree4.50ExcellentExcellent condition compared to my last visit. The first pint didn't touch the sides!
