Harviestoun - Bitter & Twisted | 3.80 | | Nowt like the very herbal and floral tones I have encountered before |
Sunny Republic - St Wite's Ale | 5.00 | | Clip said Winter Warmer but more like a Red Ale |
Adnams - Lighthouse | 3.40 | Not Tried
Harviestoun - Old Engine Oil | 4.50 | Not Tried
15 Jan 2013 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening until close.
White Shield - Worthington's White Shield | 5.60 | | First rate - wish this could go on general release but suppose it would then be spoilt by mass production |

Clarence & Fredericks - Smoked Red | 5.10 | Not Tried

25 Nov 2012 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit. A DJ in residence playing stuff ranging through Canned Heat, Kinks, Led Zep and Rolling Stones to an almost exclusively student audience - timeless music.
Hawkshead - Brodie's Prime | 4.90 | | A dark beer with lots of hop taste. Not really to my palate |
Cronx - Kotchin | 3.90 | | Light, clear and fresh in taste |
London Fields - Love Not War | 4.20 | | Hazy but slurpable |

21 Oct 2012 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until close. Lots of seating so few stand at the bar. Knowledgeable and friendly bar staff. A very busy day earlier meant beer range was somewhat truncated.
Florence - Tommy IPA (branded as A Head In A Hat Brewing) | 4.20 | | First rate, full bodied |
Florence - Titfer (branded as A Head In A Hat Brewing) | 3.50 | | No head retention and rather flat. Probably needed better conditioning |

Acorn - Blonde | 4.00 | Not Tried
22 Mar 2012 (Stephen Harris)
Very busy mid-evening on a Thursday, with some acoustic musicians about to strike up as we were leaving.
Kent - Enigma | 5.50 | | First class black IPA, bursting with luscious US hoppy flavours. |
Twickenham (also uses sub-brand Old Hands) - Burnham No 2 | 2.80 | | Another in the series of test brews for the forthcoming Antic Brewery. This one is golden in colour, recognisably beer at 2.8%, but a bit too thin and weedy. |
Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | Not Tried
Parkway (formerly Glastonbury Ales) - Mystery Tor | 3.80 | Not Tried
Dark Star - Espresso Stout | 4.20 | Not Tried
Otter - Bright | 4.30 | Not Tried
