Evening latish but very lively with a mixed crowd. Band playing songs from The Wall. 20% discount makes this a very competitive venue.

Evening. Pleasantly surprised by the range of beer here and the staff's attention to detail and interest in real ales. 20% real ale discount is a winner linked to its buy 6 get 1 free offer in addition. Last time I drank here must have been Cydrax, with crisps, sitting in the car park in my Dad's car one late Sunday night after a trip back from Herne Bay.

A rambling building formerly the Woodman, it was built in 1845 but was demolished and rebuilt in 1931 by Reffells Brewery when large-scale building began in the area. Recently renamed after the original landlord. Used by many in the old days as a sliproad roadhouse just off the A2 Rochester Way. Very large inside and a major emphasis on TV screens for sport. An honest boozer with a Wetherspoon's style. 6 handpumps. A 10% discount on real ales for card carrying CAMRA members plus a buy 5 get 6th one free loyalty card on ales, the latter for everyone. Refurbished and relaunched in December 2018. Large TV screens showing sport in all parts of the pub.

We have visited this pub 32 times, seen 82 different beers and tried 26 of them.
