Two Bridges - Blonde Berkshire Bevy 3.90 Peach aroma and hop taste. Good malt balance and a pleasant fruity finish. My score 16/20.

Wolf - Whistle 4.70 Red in colour with a cloying, appley taste. My score 14/20. Bollington - White Nancy 4.10 Pale bitter with very dry hop taste. Bitter, dry hop finish. My score 14/20. Concrete Cow - Pail Ale 3.70 Pale and bitter with some hoppiness. Dry finish. My score 14/20. Concrete Cow - Santa's Fresian Bull 5.00 Dominated by a spicy flavour, typical of Christmas beers, that I do not like. My score 8/20.

West Berkshire - Woodruff 4.30 Copper coloured bitter with good balance of hop and malt. My score 15/20. Magpie - Monty's Firkin 4.60 Golden with a dryish malty character, better than some I've had from this brewery. My score 14/20.

Quirky pub in Broad Street, with dark wooden interior and lots of small booths to the rear. West Berkshire beers feature plus local and not so local guests. Re-opened Monday 19th July 2021 after a very long period of Covid pandemic closure. For many years known as Hobgoblin. Re-named in March 2012. Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2023.
