Evening. Wasted long journey, with arrival at 1930 hours I rattled the locked door which was eventually opened by a lady who told me the pub now closed at 7 on Mondays and Tuesdays due to lack of trade. WhatPub still showed 9.30 close for both days. Irritating even more so to find a host of other local pubs all thriving tonight. Perhaps it is a self-fulfilling prophecy that if the reputation for early closing gets around it just deters visitors.
