The number 42 bus leaves goes past the Hair of the Dog at six minutes past closing time and takes you straight to the Hovelling Boat (well almost) so it would be rude not to do it. An excellent welcome and good service on a busy Thursday afternoon.

Very pleasant, lunchtime visit. A very likeable pub. Today is my only real chance to try any of the Kentish green hop beers this year.
