From the Wenlock, I stuck my head in the Old Fountain, and although it had a decent beer line up, I had a pretty full schedule that I wanted to stick to, so I got on my way towards Clerkenwell, and came across this place which I had almost forgotten about. Pretty busy lunchtime crowd in with plenty of office parties.
BeerABVScoreNotes
B&T (Banks & Taylor's) - Golden Fox4.10GoodVery pale gold, lasting white head. Served a bit cold, but in excellent nick, touch of soap, over a nettley, lime juice golden beer. Good citrus lime edge on the finish. Very good in fact. A JHB/Hophead/Brewers Gold wannabe, but more almost more extreme citric acid. Good though, nice fullness and sherbert creaminess, really explosive in mouth.

Came here just after the lunch hour on a Wednesday. People finishing meals and the usual disparate group of drinkers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Moles - Molegrip4.30AcceptableReddy brown with thin beige head. Malty best bitter. Lots of dry malt aroma. Some hop on end, more choc, bit of Turkish Delight fruit and milk choc. Moderate fullness in mouth. Some yeast runs through it.
Itchen Valley - Godfathers3.80PoorGold colour with lasting biege head. Butterscotch and grapefruit aroma. Diacetyl. I know this is a good beer as I have had it before, but this is just too buttery. Good hop on end.
