Lunchtime visit. This is clearly a very nice little pub along East Kent micro lines. Unfortunately today there are four very loud locals engaging in what they probably regard as witty banter, but which I find to be rather vulgar. In such a small space, there is no escape other than to look for an alternative venue nearby.

| Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Green Hop Ale (2013) | 4.80 | | The first of this year’s green hop beers that I have drunk. It is an unusual one. Very murky, golden. Sharp and a touch sour. Not convinced that it was meant to be like this – has some characteristics of a roughly-filtered cider. |
