Late evening visit until close. Relaxed atmosphere during hours and drink up time.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marble - Ogden's Foreign Extra Stout7.00Excellent4.5½* Fabulous, don't think I have ever had a dry strong stout this good before
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Windle6.20GoodHad no idea it was 6.2% as could not get close enough to the pumpclip for that detail
Salopian - Darwin's Origin4.30Not Tried
Big Smoke - Solaris Session Pale3.80Not Tried
Brew York - Calmer Chameleon (was 3.7%)3.40Not Tried
13 Aug 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
Late evening visit until close. Low footfall - soothing quiet background music.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fyne - Everyone Loves Azacca3.80ExcellentTop notch form. No harsh bittering
Salt - Hessian Coffee & Cacao6.20GoodAs thick as tar, full of the promised flavours
Play - Cherry Cola Float Ice Cream Milkshake Pale Ale5.00Not TriedStill going strong the barman said
Pomona Island - Project Graham3.30Not Tried
03 Aug 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until close. Good educational chat with barman about chef-ing in restaurants.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Brew York - Tiramoosu Tonkoko7.50ExcellentJust a half sufficed - heady and so full flavoured
Play - Cherry Cola Float Ice Cream Milkshake Pale Ale5.00ExcellentI liked this a lot even though it had been initially ordered with some trepidation
Arbor Ales - Mosaic4.00Not Tried
Brew York - Haze of Thunder4.50Not Tried

22 Jul 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
Late evening visit until close.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marble - Pint (was 3.9%)3.40ExcellentBest condition ale of the evening by a long chalk. Even then there was the slightest haze
Rooster's - Scoundrel7.40GoodSlow anaesthetic with lots of flavour but rather too dead in the glass for best enjoyment. The promised nut flavour was very heavily disguised!
360° - Tacoma3.90Not Tried
Odyssey - Our Captain Calls3.80Not Tried
15 Jul 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
Late evening visit. Alas had just missed the DDH Jaipur.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wiper and True - Kaleidoscope4.20ExcellentCondition superb but I just can't get on with these lemonjuicer beers so did not enjoy it
Brew By Numbers - 11 Session IPA Mosaic3.80Not Tried
Cloudwater - It's a Mild! (was 3.5%)3.40Not Tried
06 Jul 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
Late evening visit until close. Veritably virtually a beer paradise here.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Rattlesnake6.50Excellent4.5½* Superb ale in superb condition. Full of flavour but in a well balanced not harsh hopped way
Brew York - Calmer Chameleon (was 3.7%)3.40GoodTasty enough but suspect was first out of pump for a while
Track - Sonoma3.80Not Tried

Cloudwater - Man of Tod Stockport Mild4.50Not Tried
02 Jun 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until midnight close. Only tangible benefit of this bank holiday so far is this house open later than its usual 11pm Thursday close. 1am would have better.
BeerABVScoreNotes
JW Lees (see also Lees) - Moonraker6.50ExcellentAt last back to a traditional beer from a traditional brewer. Tastes sooooo innocent
Cloudwater - Happy!3.50ExcellentConvinced by another customer to try it despite being my usually eschewed hazy job. Impressed by the flavours that came through - nice foil to the Lees Moonraker
Fallen Acorn (formerly Oakleaf) - Awaken4.50ExcellentPerhaps mislead by a thimble taster this turned out to be in excellent condition albeit a thick murk of tastelessness and cloying with it. Suppose someone one must want this near beer. Marked here as served as the brewer intended it
Anspach & Hobday - The Ordinary Bitter (was 3.7%)3.40Not Tried
Fallen Acorn (formerly Oakleaf) - One and 19 More4.80Not Tried
21 May 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
Late evening visit until midnight close. I am always bemused at how light the late night footfall is here, despite being the best of Bromley with competitive prices.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Carlota7.00ExcellentWarming and habit forming, 7 different malts, 4 different chilli types, cocoa husks, cacao nibs, cinnamon sticks, and vanilla. Fermented using a Mexican lager strain of yeast, during the maturation phase added is a prodigious amount of ancho, pasilla and mulato chillies as well as smoky chipotles
Only With Love - High Fives4.20AcceptableServed too chilled to pick up the alleged APA flavours
RedWillow - Mirthless3.90Not Tried
Good Chemistry - Full Circle4.10Not Tried
07 May 2022 (Philip Pirrip)

Siren Craft - Broken Dream Breakfast Stout6.50GoodJust slightly too chilled to enjoy at its best
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Block Island5.70Not Tried
26 Mar 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until midnight close. With service and beer quality so good no need to go elsewhere.
BeerABVScoreNotes
London Beer Lab - Pale Ale Mosaic & Ekuanot5.00Excellent4½* Astounding condition
Vocation - Fruit Bat Ninja (collaboration with Verdant)4.80ExcellentOnce again an ale in superb condition
Siren Craft - Maiden 201911.00ExcellentUsed a half as a chaser across my other pints. A complex nose and mix of tastes came across. And a heavy sedative too some hours later! Tongue rasping, woody, sweet but dry came to mind
Gun - Chummy Bluster4.40Not Tried
Twisted Oak - Ghost Town5.70Not Tried
