Saying that this pub serves beer well is like Mark Anthony saying that Brutus was an honourable man. Hophead was 1/5 and I had to return the pint so ended up with a bottle of Erdinger Weiss as they couldn't cock that up. Pint of Hophead in Thomas Ingoldsby was £1.69, but £1.75 at Westgate.

By the Westgate in Canterbury. Has improved their beer a lot over the past couple of years. Bit quieter than the other Wetherspoon's in Canterbury. It is helped by not being so big and having different drinking areas
BeerABVScoreNotes

The pub is found in Canterbury, Kent, CT2 7EB.

Located just in North Lane. Quite substantial floor space and nooks and crannies to drink in. This Wetherspoon pub takes its name from its proximity to Canterbury's West Gate, one of the finest medieval gateways in Britain. This is a Grade II listed building, and dates from the 17th century. Over the years, it has been modified and rebuilt, and has lost much of its timber frame and original features.

We have visited this pub 82 times, seen 165 different beers and tried 92 of them.
