Went with my wife and two friends and enjoyed greatly the Christmas menu on offer. The pub was pretty full with other parties having their Christmas get-together.

Today, with my wife and 2 friends, we were the only people having the OAP lunchtime meal which, as usual, was excellent value and very good to eat. The landlord was his customary friendly self despite the paucity of people, there being only one other customer there during our stay. This time they had a guest beer, Timothy Taylors Landlord, in addition to the regular London Pride. Last week they had had Sharps Doom Bar as the guest ale and, as this had gone down well, it could well appear again soon.

The pub is found in Brook, Kent, TN25 5PG.

Allegedly built in 1609 this is an ancient house located in The Street. In 1804, the house was given the title the "Honest Miller", the significance of which dates back to the Saxons when a miller cheated the Romans by giving them a short measure. His ears were cut off as a penance and warning to others. After this millers not wishing to fall into the same category as their luckless and earless colleague hung a sign stating they were "Honest Millers". The pub has had many owners over the years. Re-opened in July 2024 after a period of 4 years or so of closure and changing ownership. Early signs are that it might not be selling cask ales.

We have visited this pub 86 times, seen 36 different beers and tried 28 of them.
