Quiet Saturday lunchtime:mix of locals and people passing through. Highlights of day 2 of the Edgbaston Test on Sky.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Mighty Oak - Summer Holiday4.00GoodThis was served direct from the barrel in the cellar.Another golden ale example, but good on a summer's day, which perhaps was not today, the first of August!Hoppy and fresh tasting.
Nethergate (was Nethergate Growler for a while then name reverted) - Ashes Ale4.60AcceptableNot often coming to East anglia, I'd hoped to try some Nethergate beers. This appeared to be a honey based beer, pleasant, but not really my cup of tea.
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%)3.40Not Tried
Adnams - Explorer4.30Not TriedNo real dark ales in the pub, but 2 lads came in and ordered pints of brown and mild.Good on them!
