Arrived late in the day, unfortunately too late to catch the famed sunset over the lake but still warm and pleasant enough to sit on the veranda by the lake. Everything else was just typical Shepherd Neame, with uninspired ales and a lager list that reads like an 80s football hooligan's liquid lunch menu: Holsten Export, Oranjeboom and Hurliman.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter3.70AcceptableThin watery bitter, usual canine-infused malt with the merest hint of bittering hops. Distinctly average.
Shepherd Neame - Whitstable Bay Organic Ale4.50Poor'Doggy' Sheps malt and washed out hops, flat and not summery enough by far. Not very good considering there should be no problem with throughput at this busy flagship outlet.
Shepherd Neame - Spitfire (or Spitfire Amber Ale)4.20Not Tried

The pub is found in Dartford, Kent, DA2 6QE.

Plum in the middle of the Crossways industrial estate and close enough to hear the distant rumble of the QE2 bridge. Purpose built busy hostelry overlooking a man-made oasis. Very pleasant setting considering the location, with a lovely view of the sunset setting over the lake. Carvery is popular on Sundays.

We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
