Busy lunchtime session we added to the havoc with 30 or so thirsty tourists however the service was excellent with the bar staff coping well. Despite the salubrious location the curious locals were friendly and welcoming. Our group spread out to the four corners of the pub.

Green Jack - Nightingale4.00ExcellentAnother fine example of an English bitter - a bitter, sweet, malty woodiness made for an enjoyable pint.

We stopped off on our way up to Suffolk with the vague idea we might have a look at Flatford Mill where Constable painted the Hay Wain. Turned out you had to walk a bit to find and we couldn't be bothered so we just went to the pub. Nice pub. Very big with a spacious Georgian feel to it.
