Our first port of call on our mini-crawl around Hitchin. This pub is right near the train station in a not so pleasant part of town. Still a jolly nice pub though. Seems to have a strong presence in the community. Sat at the bar and listened to a bunch of locals having an argument over what the ladies' darts team should be called.

Nethergate (was Nethergate Growler for a while then name reverted) - Augustinian4.50AcceptableI was a little diappointed, the pump clip gives you the impression you're about to taste something special. A bit wishy washy, malty with a little fruit and toffee. It was nice enough but instantly forgettable.
