Saturday from 12:00 for a joint retirement do and absolutely packed in both bars. I have only listed the beers that were available in the bar in which I sat, others were available in the other bar. Camra discount brought the beers down to a very acceptable £2.70 per pint.
Acorn - Old Moor Porter | 4.40 | | Very good dark bar which ran out during the afternoon. |
York (now brewed by and at Black Sheep) - Yorkshire Terrier | 4.20 | | This ran out during the afternoon. |
Ossett - Silver King | 4.30 | Not Tried | This ran out during the course of the afternoon. |
Oakham - Citra | 4.20 | Not Tried | Replaced the Osset Excelsior when that ran out. |

Evening's last stop. Quiet apart from one active poker table. Annoying that 10% CAMRA discount was not proferred.
Springhead - Roaring Meg | 5.50 | | Nowt worse than a warmish ale. Lemonade dashes made it tolerable |
Oakham - Scarlet Macaw | 4.40 | Not Tried
Springhead - Drop o' The Black Stuff | 4.00 | Not Tried
Sharp's - Atlantic Pale Ale | 4.20 | Not Tried

Bad weather has disrupted the East Coast trains and I find I have time for a swift final beer in here. Pub much smartened up since my last visit. But I realise after a while that I am the only customer at what should be a peak early evening time.
Cross Bay - Spectrum | 3.90 | | Amber-coloured. Rather too malty for me. |
Marston's - Pedigree | 4.50 | Not Tried
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried
Robinsons - Trooper (superseded by 4.7% version) | 4.80 | Not Tried

Glentworth - Heaven's Gate | 4.10 | | Golden with very dry, harsh citrus hop character and no other balance. Not my style of beer really, but they are popular locally. My score 13/20. |
