Good, and knowledgeable bar staff. Somehow I think that a Taylor Walker door mat looks out of place in York, but this is a Taylor Walker branded pub (part of Spirit Group). I was tempted by the pie, mash and liquor that was on offer, but decided against it because of the noise from background music and amusement machines.
