Friday evening 7 ish. The pub is busy and noisy and by the looks of it has been for a while tonight. Unusually for a village pub no eaters obvious - just a good number of boisterous drinkers. Seems to have changed hands since my last visit (according to a Secret Drinker report earlier this year). The historic interior has not been changed however - wood panelling, settles, three bar areas. Super pub except for the ale choice - just Master Brew on.

Lunchtime cycle stop for a swift pint in a new pub for me. Looks to have had a makeover since the photo was taken. Old fashioned layout with a public bar and saloon separate from the dining area. Had an interesting chat with a local octogenarian.

I had not been here for about thirty years or more, and it has not changed too much since then. I must return again in the not too distant future.

Came for lunch with my parents and Isabel on the way to Dymchurch. We sat in the garden wiyh a collection of half working plastic peddle cars.

The eating areas were quite full. This may have been because it was a Tuesday lunchtime when OAP meals were available. With my wife and 2 friends we enjoyed the meal from this menu which had a good range for the price. Friendly atmosphere.

The pub is found in Aldington, Kent, TN25 7DT.
Entering from the car park at the back there is a small bar area to the right with a few tables surrounding an open fire and this room led to a more formal restaurant. However going straight from the entrance there is a more open bar area with pool table and TV, at the far side of which is another small area for eating.
We have visited this pub 6 times, seen 6 different beers and tried 5 of them.
