Lunchtime drink with a group of friends â the pub has a typical lunchtime Wetherspoonâs clientele.
White Park - Moonshine5.20ExcellentA very decent, golden, hoppy Pale Ale.
Mad Squirrel (formerly Red Squirrel) - Hopfest3.80GoodGolden and very hazy â an unfined beer. Great hop flavours, counter-balanced by a little bit too much suspended yeast.

1130 visit. Enroute to Aylesbury a train. A very old Coaching Inn, with many pictures of days gone by of this fairly original building. Festive ales noted. A pleasant type and another JD 'tick'.
Temperance Union - Ott Softy1.00AcceptableNothing unusual.

Everards (see entries against Joule's & Robinsons from now on) - Val-Dieu Abbaye Blonde5.50ExcellentVery pale well rounded and smooth beer. Good balance of hop and malt flavours and a full bodied mouthfeel. Pleasant citrussy hop finish. My score 16/20.
