Friendly, locals pub.
Born in the Borders (formerly Scottish Borders) - Game Bird4.00AcceptablePleasant enough, easy drinking dark golden ale. Some malt, some hops but nothing to make it stand out.

Quiet. Three dogs wandering about.
Arran (formerly Isle of Arran) - Red Squirrel3.90PoorOne dimensional red brown ale dominated by dry malt and lacking any evidence of hops or condition.
23 Jun 2010 (McGargle)
Quiet it the early evening. Really enjoyed the beer garden.
Hadrian and Border - Tyneside Blonde3.90GoodPale coloured and easy drinking it was ideal for a summer's evening. A slight creaminess from the malts was offset by the bittering hops.

The pub is found in Innerleithen, Scottish Borders, EH44 6HF.

The hotel has a long, thin traditional bar with alcoved seating areas. Landlord is an ale enthusiast and his one hand-pump dispenses beer from local micros. Large, grassy beer garden has fine views. Good value, comfortable accommodation. The whole place is dog and child friendly.

We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 4 different beers and tried them all.
